A deliberately applied eyeliner looks super carefree, while accidental application will completely ruin your atmosphere. There is a big difference between the two. If you have been struggling with the latter beauty problem frequently recently, it may be time to add the anti-smudge eyeliner approved by these experts to your cosmetic bag.

Want to know why your eyeliner keeps loosening in the middle of the day? Your skin oils may be the culprit. "They break down anti-smudge eyeliners, so I always recommend applying an eye shadow primer on the eyelids first," suggested celebrity makeup artist Robert Bryan.

If you want your eyeliner to go further, there are several ways to prevent nasty smudges. For example, the celebrity makeup artist Melissa Hurkman (Melissa Hurkman) let us know one of her most kept secrets. "Apply the same shade of powder eyeshadow on your eyeliner to lock in the product," she suggested.

A professional tip that Torres swore? Try the eyeliner on your hand to see how long they last. Just apply a little color, wait a while, then rub it to see how it reacts. The creators of TikTok are currently obsessed with this Huda Beauty double-headed waterproof and antifouling liner, which can last up to 48 hours.

"It's great because it has two sides (liquid and pencil), which makes traveling easier because you don't have to carry it in your cosmetic bag," she told us.

"My favorite part of this eyeliner is that it can last all day on your waterline," the makeup expert told us. "Unlike other eyeliners, this formula is specifically designed to prevent smudging, which means it will not be applied under your eyes and it can maintain its tinting strength throughout the day."

After Hurkman called it the "most cost-effective eyeliner" she had ever used, our ears must have stood up. "These pencils come in black and brown, and I often use these two shades," she said. "I like to use it to tighten the eyeliner or use it in the waterline, because it is very soft but can last all day."
