Next week marks the launch of Genshin Impact 2.4, which will bring two new heroes and a bunch of returning favorites to try to add to your collection, or bolster with constellations. MiHoYo has now revealed all four banners for 2.4, since we’re now doubling up these days, which includes the 4 stars that are getting rate-ups during those banners.

So yes, as you can see, there are identical rate-ups across both sets of banners. I believe the idea is that even if MiHoYo wants to offer more 5 stars for people to go for, they don’t want to offer too many 4 stars in one patch. Or I guess the opposite could be true, where with this many banners, players don’t want to feel forced to go for just one 5 star if they’re going for certain 4 stars.

These banners join the Lantern Rite giveaway that will offer a single four star for free, if you meet the right criteria. This path will also unlock a unique outfit for Ningguang. The four stars you can all hail from Liyue, and they are:

It’s unusual for Genshin to give away a brand new 4 star in the form of Yun Jin, and I would expect she’d be the most popular option out of the collection here. That’s certainly who I’m going to pick up.

Genshin Impact 2.4 will go live on January 5, 2022, in the middle of next week. Not a ton of time to get saving or farming for ascension materials, but I’m sure plenty of fans are using their holiday break to do just that. We’ll see how the meta shakes out after the introduction of Shenhe and Yun Jin, and how many people decided to save for Yae Miko instead.
