EFI’s award-winning CretaPrint hybrid digital inkjet printer technology can be used with eco-solvent inks as well as new water-based inks.
The EFI Cretaprint P5 Printer is a compact and flexible solution for large format tile decoration on regular lines up to 1440 mm print width and 8 decoration times. In addition, thanks to the Double Printing System (DTP – Double Tile Printing), a full printing width can be used to simultaneously decorate tiles on two lines with two different designs.
For its part, the EFI Cretaprint P5+ printer that will be featured at Tecna has 12 printing times and effects, making it an ideal choice for tiles with superior quality and high-added value.
The Cretaprint P5+ can also be completed with the new Cretafit artificial vision system. This system allows the design to be adjusted to the position of the tile at the printer’s entrance without stopping and timing. CretaFit guarantees the centralization of the image on the tile and is ideal for designs that require handling of larger and more difficult pieces of graphic as well. The artificial vision system prevents ink from accumulating in the printer’s transport system.
Tecna, the leading color management software for EFI Ceramics, will also showcase the EFI Fiery proServer for Ceramics. Fiery proServer features innovative ColorWise® separation technology for fast, quality printing. Combined with EFI’s Cretacolor inks, ColorWise separation technology reduces ink usage by up to 30% compared to ICC color management without affecting accuracy, gamut or definition. By using Fiery proServer on their all digital presses, leading tile manufacturers benefit from powerful color management that delivers equally accurate, consistent and repeatable colors across multiple manufacturing lines and multiple plants.
